Ahvaz Municipality Municipal Services Deputy: Every Citizen One Tree plan will be implemented
The Vice President of Environment and Urban Services of Ahvaz Municipality announced the implementation of the One Tree Every Citizen project, emphasizing the increasing role of citizens in the development of sustainable green spaces.
Ali Shams, Vice President of Environment and Urban Services of Ahvaz Municipality, who was a guest of the conversation program on the Khuzestan provincial network, said: the per capita standard of green space for each citizen is 23 square meters, which is currently 18 per capita in Ahvaz, including the green belt. It is 5 square meters.
He pointed to the plan to build 71 neighborhood parks in other neighborhoods and continued: In order to build a neighborhood park, it is necessary to pipe water in a sustainable manner, and with the order of the mayor, this matter is being followed up and implemented by other eight districts.
In the end, Shams emphasized: Ahvaz Municipality has recently planted large-scale side trees in the form of side by side in Region 4, and in parallel, it has started planting other trees that are compatible with the environment and climate of Ahvaz, such as palm, temple figs, and Burhan Goli.
