Last night, July 19th, the Mayor of Ahvaz visited the Arbaeen "Mashayeh" (pilgrimage procession) route to inspect the preparations and engage with the organizers of the *Mawkibs* (pilgrim service stations).
According to the Ahvaz Municipality Information Portal, Hojjatollah Dehdashti, while offering his condolences on the arrival of the Arbaeen mourning season, stated: "Given that this route hosts the largest Arbaeen *Mashayeh* pilgrimage in the country, this visit was conducted to assess the conditions and address the needs of the path."
He added, "During the visit to the *Mawkibs*, we listened to their requests aimed at better serving the Arbaeen pilgrims. Ahvaz Municipality will take action on these matters within the scope of its inherent duties and legal authority."
In conclusion, noting that service coordination meetings for this route have been held since last month, Dehdashti added: "Municipality efforts include beautification through the installation of billboards and banners, providing services to the *Mawkibs* such as sanitation and cleaning of routes, asphalt patching, and the removal of visual clutter along the path."
